ABOUT AKBUK

Akbuk is a place to stay for holiday makers who like to take quiet laid back holidays and indulge in complete relaxation. The views from the beach facing north, is adorned with beautiful scenery of green mountains that cradle the village and the bay of Akbuk. Such is the effects of its’ beauty that many people who have come from big cities to visit Akbuk have made decisions to retire here. There are plans for developments over the next few years but rest assured that given the building restriction and preservation order for Akbuk, this resort is set to become exclusive only to people seeking idyllic holiday homes. The whole bay along the sea-front (approx 6km), is lined with trees enabling you to partake in the fantastic views of the Bodrum peninsula. To the right you will find Akbuk's little harbour, making it an ideal place for a leisurely stroll before or after your evening meal. The beach is dotted with sandy coves that lend themselves to sunny days of sun-bathing or simply the option to relax and admire the views and peace.

There are plenty of restaurants nearby, with fantastic views of the bay overlooking the Aegean Sea in which you and your family can relax and watch the sunset as you enjoy your evening meal. There are some bars and discos nearby if you feel like a drink or the energetic side of you wishes to dance the night away.
When it comes to shopping for groceries, you will find ample mini-markets and under cover markets again only a few minutes walk away.
Akbuk is approximately a 15 minute drive to Altinkum should you require more choices and hustle and bustle. There are doctors, dentists, schools and a bus station with regular services going to all of the neighbouring towns including Altinkum (approx 80p), Soke and Kusadasi. Bodrum Airport can be accessed via a beautiful scenic road winding through the mountains or if preferred via the traditional route passing lake Bafa. Both routes taking approximately 1 hour.
The unique terrain at Akbuk with its mountain backdrop and gently sloping land leading from the sea and slowly upwards gives an opportunity for most villas to enjoy a sea view. There are 2 small island within the bay, which are uninhabited due to local council bylaws, which add to make the overall views of the entire bay truly spectacular.
